Yacht Rock
[edit]Deleted Yacht Rock reference in the introduction. Unfunny, irrelevant. Dooodle (talk) 22:04, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
It's fine that you deleted that, but don't pretend it wasn't funny. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.49.44.154 (talk) 20:46, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
Past roadie?
[edit]I thought I remembered hearing that Cross had once worked as a roadie for another major act before his own singing career took off. If anyone can verify and get that info in, it would be interesting I'd think. I *thought* it was for Meatloaf...I seem to remember it being for an act that was musically a lot "edgier" than Cross was. GBrady (talk) 19:07, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

MTV and decline
[edit]The way I heard it, it had nothing to do with his music, but with the fact that the music industry became increasingly video-oriented throughout the 80s, and people just didn't wanna see a guy basically looking like Jack Black. --46.93.158.170 (talk) 02:45, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- What really stinks about this article is that there is absolutely nothing about his huge comeback in the 1990s, when he switched to rap, changed the spelling of his name to Kriss Kross, and hired those two kids to dance in his videos. The kids grew up and it didn't last, but it was the greatest comeback since the Red Army in World War II. 2603:6080:F305:4000:3210:B3FF:FE07:ED2F (talk) 21:13, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Unsuitable subsection heading?
[edit]Is "The curse of the MTV generation" really appropriate as a subsection heading? It feels rather unlike the usual concise, factual style of Wikipedia headings. Rgrayuk (talk) 09:53, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
- Well I agree with you and came here to see If anyone commented about it. I've changed it to the more neutral "The 1980s" in accordance with the remaining subsections' headers. NadCu42 16:46, 13 February 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nadcu42 (talk • contribs)
Does it make sense for Arthur's Theme to not even be mentioned in the career narrative?
[edit]Question in subject line. This seems like a very weird omission to me. 50.72.9.214 (talk) 06:58, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
Rap Career
[edit]Why doesn't the article mention his rap song where he makes us jump? 103.237.18.25 (talk) 01:20, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
Big Four (Grammys)
[edit]"This feat [winning the Big Four] was not replicated for 39 years, until Billie Eilish won all four awards at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2020." But in the Big Four entry it says that Norah Jones won the Big Four in 2003.
